After matching on a dating app, Sarah and Rick met for the first time over coffee in early 2024. By their second date, it was clear something significant was unfolding.
Rick brought with him the beautiful responsibility of being a parent, and Sarah embraced the chance to show she was ready to step into that role with love and care. At the same time, Sarah needed to know that Rick would be a partner who would cherish her and walk beside her through life’s ups and downs. And he did—every step of the way.
In January of 2025, Rick and Sarah moved into their dream home together. In April, they got engaged. And now, they’re counting down the days until their wedding in Iowa City—the town where their story has taken root. Our big day is not just a celebration of our love, but a celebration of this community we’re proud to call home.

Of course, none of this would be complete without Dakota. Her open-hearted support, curiosity, and joyful spirit have been the key ingredient in making our relationship thrive. The bond she and Sarah have built is filled with love, laughter, and trust—and it has been the greatest gift of all. Our wedding is as much about becoming a family as it is about becoming husband and wife.
